Lydia Salice

Innovation Delivery Lead

Biography

Lydia Salice joined Imperial College Health Partners in February 2020.

Before joining, Lydia was General Manager for Sexual Health, HIV and Infection at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.  In this operational role Lydia  was responsible for a directorate of 120 staff, £16m of income and £10m expenditure.  Lydia led the Sexual Health service through a transformation programme required due to changes in funding and commissioning, including moving hundreds of patients a month onto home testing kits and  the department from a paper based service to electronic patient records.  Lydia also led the reconfiguration of HIV inpatient services with Imperial College Healthcare and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Lydia is passionate about quality improvement and was part of the faculty of the Flow Coaching Academy at Imperial, teaching coaching and quality improvement to support “Big Rooms” across Imperial, Great Ormond Street and Portsmouth Hospitals.  Lydia coached the Mental Health Crisis Big Room- a weekly improvement space open to anyone wanting to improve the care of people in mental health crisis.  

Lydia spent two years working as an English Teacher in Quito, Ecuador. She holds a BSc in Geography from Bristol University, spent a year studying at the University of Bologna, Italy, and has an MSc in Healthcare Leadership and Service Improvement from the University of Birmingham and University of Manchester.  Lydia was selected by the Health Service Journal as one of the 25 Rising Stars of the NHS in 2015.
